The Initiative ›keine (Gewalt) mehr‹ is dedicated to initial situations of violence, which are still a sad reality for many women* in Austria and beyond our national borders. It examines how a topic that requires special sensitivity can be de-tabooized and thus contribute to public awareness. The enormous diversity and complexity of violence against women* is illustrated by means of poster subjects that deal with an incipient situation of violence. Statements are used to draw special attention to the beginnings of violence that are not immediately apparent at first glance or are already deeply rooted in our patriarchal system and considered commonplace. The aim is to open a discourse that sensitizes, shakes up, and visualizes the enormous complexity of the topic, addressing processes of social and political challenges, social responsibility and the values of designers.
